screen flickering issue

If you're experiencing screen flickering or freezing while using your Carpuride device—especially when switching between phone calls, CarPlay, WhatsApp, or Siri—you’re not alone. This guide will walk you through the root cause (typically Bluetooth conflicts) and provide step-by-step solutions to get your device running smoothly again.

Common Symptoms of the Screen Flickering Problem

Many Carpuride users report the following issues:

  • The screen randomly flickers or freezes, especially when checking messages or taking calls.

  • Flickering may occur again when using WhatsApp or activating Siri.

  • A strange number like “666666” may briefly appear on the screen during call attempts.

  • The issue is often linked to Bluetooth audio conflicts, especially if a headset is connected both to the phone and the Carpuride unit.

Solution Overview

Quick Fix: Update Your Software

The most effective and permanent solution is to request the latest software update from our customer support team. Once the software is updated, follow the correct Bluetooth connection steps (explained below) to resolve flickering for good.

✅ Fix Without Software Update: Permanent Solution Through Proper Connection Setup

You don't necessarily need a software update to stop the Carpuride screen from flickering. By following the correct Bluetooth connection method, you can permanently resolve the issue. This method is reliable and tested—just make sure you connect your devices correctly.

Step 1: Check Your Current Bluetooth Connections

There are three common misconfigurations that may lead to flickering:

  1. Your Carpuride device is connected to Carp.BT Trans.

  2. Your Bluetooth headset is connected to Carpuride(xxxx).

  3. Your phone is connected to Carp.BT Trans.

Here’s how to check:

  • On the Carpuride screen, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Paired List and see if your headset or “Carp.BT Trans” is listed.

  • On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings and check if it’s paired with “Carp.BT Trans.”

Step 2: Disconnect Incorrect Connections

Depending on what you find in step 1:

  • If your Carpuride is connected to Carp.BT Trans or a Bluetooth headset, go to Carpuride > Settings > Bluetooth > Paired List and remove those devices.

  • If your phone is connected to Carp.BT Trans, go to Phone Settings > Bluetooth and forget that device.

Step 3: Connect Your Phone Properly to Carpuride

📱 For iPhone:

  1. Tap the iPlay icon on Carpuride.

  2. On your phone, turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

  3. In your phone’s Bluetooth menu, find and pair with Carpuride(xxxx).

  4. Tap Pair, then allow syncing of Contacts and Favorites.

  5. Confirm connection to CarPlay.

  6. Allow Carpuride to access CarPlay apps.

🤖 For Android:

  1. Tap the A-Auto icon on Carpuride.

  2. On your phone, enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

  3. Go to Bluetooth > Pair New Device.

  4. Tap to pair with Carpuride(xxxx).

  5. Confirm the pairing request.

Step 4: Choose the Right Audio Output Mode

Return to the Carpuride home screen and tap Audio Output. You will see two connection modes(603 series only have one option):

  1. BT Trans Mode – Connect your Bluetooth headset directly to Carpuride.

  2. iPlay/Auto Mode – Connect your Bluetooth headset directly to your phone.

🔔 Important Tip:

If you use BT Trans Mode, make sure your headset is not connected to your phone. Delete the headset's pairing on your phone to prevent dual connections.

If you choose iPlay/Auto Mode, delete the headset's pairing on your Carpuride device instead.

Step 5: Recheck Bluetooth Headset Settings

Sometimes your headset settings need to be reconfigured:

  • If you're using iPlay/Auto Mode, and experiencing issues, go to Carpuride > Bluetooth > Paired List and remove the headset.

  • Re-pair the headset to your phone only (not to Carpuride).

Still Having Issues? Try This:

If you've followed all the steps and the screen still flickers:

  • Restore Carpuride to factory settings.

  • Reconfigure Bluetooth connections from scratch.

Conclusion

By identifying and resolving Bluetooth conflicts—especially with your headset—you can eliminate screen flickering and enjoy a smooth, stable Carpuride experience. Whether you update your software or adjust your settings manually, this guide offers a complete fix to the flickering and freezing issues during CarPlay use, phone calls, or messaging apps.
