Carpuride’s 6-inch CarPlay screen series includes different models, such as the 603 series (603, 603B, 603D) and the 619 series (619, 619B). They differ in size and functionality.
Size:
The 603 series has dimensions of 8.3cm x 16.8cm (3.26 inches x 6.6 inches).
The 619 series has a size closer to that of automotive CarPlay screens, 8.6cm x 19cm (3.38 inches x 7.48 inches).
Functionality:
All 6-inch CarPlay screens feature standard motorcycle CarPlay functionality, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections to mirror compatible apps from your phone to the Carpuride screen, allowing you to make calls, navigate, and play music while riding.
The 603 series includes a wired controller, supports rotation between portrait and landscape modes (new feature added in the latest version, not available in older versions), and allows audio playback only from your phone(iPlay/Auto mode), even if a TF card is inserted (for software upgrades only). The 603D model also supports a dashcam with front and rear cameras.
The 619 series features an upgraded chipset, dual Bluetooth modes for simultaneous support of BT trans and iPlay/Auto audio output. With BT trans, you can play audio and video files stored on a TF card.
iPlay/Auto mode:
The Carpuride device connects to your phone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Your phone then connects to external Bluetooth devices (such as Bluetooth headphones or motorcycle helmets). This mode only supports audio from your phone and does not allow playing audio or video from a TF card.
BT trans mode:
The Carpuride device connects to your phone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and uses an additional internal Bluetooth connection to connect to external Bluetooth devices (such as Bluetooth helmets). With BT trans, you can listen to audio and video files stored on the TF card via motorcycle helmet Bluetooth intercoms or Bluetooth headphones.
The 6-inch screen is the ideal choice for daily use, offering a compact size that delivers clear visuals while saving space. When paired with 6-inch motorcycle speakers, it provides a balanced sound experience. The precise touch controls minimize distractions while riding, and the screen ensures clear visibility in both daylight and nighttime conditions, especially when used with motorcycle radio systems for enhanced navigation and audio. Additionally, the low power consumption of the screen makes it perfect for motorcycles with high power demands. While larger screens may be better for higher display quality and more information, the 6-inch screen offers the perfect balance of functionality and experience for everyday riding.
The primary difference between the W603D and other models in the 6-inch series is the inclusion of dual HD 1080N cameras in the W603D model. These cameras, one front-facing and one rear-facing, provide dashcam functionality, allowing you to record your rides for safety and memory-keeping purposes. The W603D's 6 inch carplay screen offers clear visibility for viewing recorded footage, while its advanced camera features set it apart from other motorcycle radio systems in the series.
The 603D, with front and rear cameras, requires a bit more time to install than other 6-inch models due to the wiring of the cameras. However, the installation is straightforward. Just follow the product manual, connect the device to the motorcycle’s power supply and camera cables. For those without experience, professional installation is recommended. It’s also possible to use a USB power supply instead of connecting directly to the motorcycle’s power, but this may cause issues if the USB connection is unstable due to vibrations, potentially leading to device restarts.
Due to size limitations, the 603D cannot display both the camera footage and navigation on the same screen simultaneously. However, you can still listen to navigation instructions in the background while viewing the camera feed. To do this, press the home button during navigation, then select the DVR option to view the camera footage, while navigation audio continues in the background.
The 603 series offers a clear, high-resolution display that provides accurate navigation information and sharp camera footage. Even under direct sunlight, the screen remains highly visible, ensuring that navigation information is always easy to read while riding.
The 6-inch CarPlay screens are compatible with most motorcycles that have a standard navigation bracket. Some special models may require additional installation accessories, so it’s recommended to check product compatibility before purchase.
