Is great device as I dont have to remove any other things from my car.
it would it be the best if this can connect the blutooth transmitter to the car as another phone so multimedia buttons on the stearing wheel can control the device, like when we connect the car to a cel phone.
A battery it will be this devise awesome!
Initially I'm quite impressed with the quality of this 701 Pro I purchased to navigate with my iPhone maps and music. Took it on my first trip this week to try it out. I use this unit in a 2001 Thunderbird which has no audio jack, or bluetooth. Therefore, the FM transmitter function on this unit plays music from my iPhone very nicely. It's very easy to set up with iPhone via bluetooth or USB cable.
Couple suggestions for improvement: 1) The suction cup mount. I've had better with my previous Garmin. I prefer Garmin's magnetic ball to easily disconnect the screen from the mount bracket. More so, the suction cup comes with a sticky base but I found that it either pulls away from my windshield and sometimes the dash with the arm extended out, or it's hard to pull off the dash once it sets for a while (warm sun). I hope Carpuride comes out with a little better suction function!!
2) Volume on the navigation is not very loud even when adjusting volume on the car stereo or iphone.
3) I'd also prefer that the unit had a rechargeable battery (as does Garmin), along with the power cord. It would eliminate another cord dangling down the dash.
Other than these few things, I find this to be a very nice screen and functions easily with my iPhone.
This is a great add-on to my old car which I need navigation badly.
The best part about this is the fast boot up time and the very responsive "Hey Siri"
that makes hands free possible with very few hands interruption. Scrolling left and right is effortless and smooth. I don't have to keep looking at my iPhone maps anymore when driving in unfamiliar cities.
