Many W903 users have reported random restarts after using the device for some time, which can be quite frustrating. Don’t worry! By following these simple steps, you can quickly diagnose and fix the issue.
Step 1: Check the TF Card for Issues
A faulty TF card is often the main cause of random restarts. A defective TF card may cause the device to read and write data more frequently, overloading the CPU and triggering an automatic restart due to overheating. To troubleshoot, remove the TF card from the device and observe if the restart issue persists. If the problem goes away after removing the TF card, it's likely that the card is faulty. Replacing it with a compatible TF card should resolve the issue.
Step 2: Check the Rearview Camera Power Supply
If your W903 is connected to a rearview camera, disconnect the camera and check if the device still restarts. If the restarts stop after disconnecting the camera, the issue may be insufficient power supply to the camera. In this case, adding a relay to the camera’s power supply can solve the problem by providing additional power.
Step 3: Replace the USB Power Cable
Unstable power supply can also cause restarts. Replace the USB power cable with one that supports 5V 3A to ensure stable power delivery. After replacing the cable, monitor the device to see if the issue is resolved.
Important Reminder:
If the W903 continues to randomly restart after performing these three steps, it may indicate an internal device fault. We recommend contacting our customer support team for further diagnosis and assistance.
